Let's kick things off with clay masks or mud masks. Korean skin-care is super popular and really effective. The clay is based on alginate, which comes from seaweed. Almost all masks, both mud and sheet, contain synthetic polymers, or microplastics. So you're basically putting microplastics right on your face. We've studied the ingredients of effective Korean skincare brands and swapped out the polymers for natural mineral alternatives, without losing any effectiveness. In fact, clay masks are 5-10x more effective than sheet masks for skin goals like cleansing, oil control, glow, and anti-acne. And up to 2x more effective for anti-aging.
 
Sheet masks are more effective for hydration and softening, so you can combine them for the best results. We've made a table below for you with an overview of how effective the mud and sheet masks are for specific skin goals:

 1. Mix the powder with water into a smooth paste in a bowl
 2. Apply as quickly as possible evenly to your face or specific zones
 3. Let it dry for 15-20 min until the mask is firm
 4. Remove in one motion from bottom to top
 5. Feel the refreshment, and see the difference after just a few uses! We recommend using it 1-2x per week as a reset moment for your skin.

🏭 Production update: On to 7 new machines
We can't wait until we can fully fill our scent pearls by machine! Literally and figuratively. Ben and Jason have therefore moved the trip up by 2 months and are flying to China for a week on August 9th to check out 7 different machines . In the picture above, we sent the manufacturer of the filling machine our packaging to test if it could be filled with their machine. The test was a success and in August we'll get a live demo of this.
 
Besides the filling machine, we're also looking at a tablet machine, sorting machine, and mixing machines from different manufacturers. This way, we can make even more products ourselves before the end of the year and automate the whole process from production to filling. It's awesome to see, and we'll be sharing lots of photos and videos.
 
Of course, we're following all EU requirements, so the machines will be set up for at least cGMP, cosmetic grade production.
🏭 Warehouse and Production Expansion
Since we produce everything ourselves at our own location in Velsen-Noord and have 7+ machines on the way, we need more space. When we moved in 1.5 years ago, we already planned for production. We're in the right environmental category and have enough power to set up a full-fledged mini factory.
 
The blue area is our office, the purple area is our current warehouse/production/lab/fulfillment. Most of it is used for storing our stock. The green area will be the new extension, about 2,500m2. That's where our stock and logistics will move, with 2 loading docks (Jason's big wish for those who've been following us for a while). The purple area will then be fully dedicated to production, so we can keep growing for years—in both capacity and automation.
 
The final decisions are being made now about the expansion, and we expect to finish in February/March 2026. Super exciting! We'll share everything with you, from the first pile in the ground to the grand opening! 🎉
