We've got another update about the production of scent boosters in the Netherlands!
The machines that were shipped in June have now been unloaded. It wasn’t just sweating in the heat 😅 but also making sure we got the machine out of the container in one piece. Unfortunately, we don’t have a loading dock—see the picture. A loading dock makes the container floor level with the floor behind it. That way, we could just roll the 12-meter machine right out. It’s definitely on our wish list for our next warehouse 😬
How do you get a machine out of a 12-meter container without a loading dock?
There you go. With 2 forklifts and 2 stackers. Viv from operations in the background.
You lift one side of the machine with a forklift, then the driver slowly moves forward. In the middle, we used a stacker for extra support. At the end of the machine, just before it comes out of the container, you use a second forklift to lift the other side.
This is what it looks like:
Exactly, and now. Then, with 4 people at the same time, slowly lower all sides. Get ready to sweat! 😅
We dragged the machine inside and gave it a spot.
At the end of August, another machine will arrive based on a different production process. This will let us experiment even more with alternative ingredients that have an even lower environmental impact. As soon as these machines arrive, we'll get the electrician and the plumber involved. turn on to connect the machines.
We're already busy working on formulas and stocking up on ingredients. More coming soon 💚
