In June, Ben and Jason visited China to check out the scent booster machines. Besides business, they took us to the Kung Fu Temple and we even climbed a mountain. Super sweet and fun of them 😊
Below is a part of the machine with Jason on the left and our guide and translator. The reason for our visit was to monitor the assembly, learn how it works, carry out inspections, and suggest adjustments so we can produce according to EU regulations.
They work incredibly fast. In just 6 hours, we had the 12-meter machine assembled, ran tests, connected the machines, and cleaned everything up. This included things like cutting the belt, shortening it, and welding.
This is before the installation of the metal belt. Here you can see the part of the pipes used to cool the belt. How it works: After mixing our scent booster formula in the tank, it drips at high speed onto the conveyor belt. Since the mix is warm and liquid, it needs to be cooled along the way. The drops then harden, and the final product is the half-moon scent boosters you know from us!
This is our first test and it's really cool to see how it's being made on the production line. That good-looking guy on the right is Ben.
We've made some big changes, especially things we ran into during the production of our laundry strips. Now, the entire line of 6 machines is on its way to the Netherlands! Hopefully, in the fourth quarter, we can start selling our very first 'made in Holland' scent boosters! 😁
