⚙️ Production update
🧪 We have the floor of oursnew laboratory spacecoated! It looks sleek again. After we moved, we did not have access to a laboratory. Next month we will be installing a water pipe, installing the drain, and further furnishing the lab. We use the lab for formulasto be tested on a small scale. Ben and Jasonare going to spend a weekend painting to make the walls neat again. Keep an eye on the money 😆
⚙️ The machines arrived as mentioned in our previous oneblog post. We have requested three quotes to connect the machines and are still waiting for one. For large amounts and projects it is always smart tomultiple partiesto request a quote. This can make a big difference! Unfortunately, one machine has a63 ampsconnection required. That is a cable as thick as a cucumber and it is expensive to install. Connecting the machines, making the distribution box, extending the cables, etc., will take around€10.000going to cost. Now you know what your contribution will be spent on!
⚡️ Fortunately, we don't have the problem with too little power. As you know, the electricity grid in the Netherlands is overcrowded. We moved to our current building in November because we had a...3x250ampere at our disposal. That's big, at home you often have to connect a 3x25 amp. The location also had to be minimalenvironmental category 4.2to be allowed to produce our products. Environmental category 6 is an oil refinery, while a bicycle repair shop falls into 1.
🐸 During our search we went through a lot of documentation that municipalities share about the zoning plan and environmental categories. Surprisingly enough, this was quite interesting and also discusses, among other things, the preservation and protection of the habitat of the animals that live there, such asfrogs, fish, moles, hedgehogs etc. This goes so far as to name very specific species.
We're allowed toproudare on the fact that there are so many people at eachlocal authorityworking to map this out and protect the animals!
So small progress this month, but we are making good progress.
