💸 Permanent Price Reduction of Fragrance Pearls
Because we can purchase more and more fragrances in the Netherlands and combine them with our laundry perfume line, we can always...better priceshandle. I want to remain critical of our prices, so we will ensure that there isevery month there is at least one product for which a permanent price reduction applies. This month ensures that the prices ofscented pearlsof23 cents downgo, or 2.3%. At least another piece of inflation that you can keep! The prices have already been updated when you receive this email.
🏭 Production update
There's so much happening right now! Extremely busy. The construction of the new hall is suddenly going very fast. They have now poured the loading pit (which has always been my biggest wish since we moved in) and the frame is already there. Next week they will assemble the roof and walls.
The first support beam is mounted here. Wonderful day, but short lived.
Two days later and already almost at the end. Our warehousing, logistics and final goods packaging line will be located in this hall. The racks have already been ordered and have space for approximately 2,000 pallets. We could place more, but we would like to keep the production hall separate from the packaging of the finished products, so we have already reserved a space for the packaging line in the future.
And at the bottom right is my long-cherished wish, the loading dock 😁 There will be two and it will ensure that we can load and unload on the same floor. For older subscribers, especially unloading 12 meter long machines will become a lot easier if you can remember this last year.
Research & Development: focus
As for our R&D process, this is moving quickly and we have been able to solve a few bottlenecks regarding our biofilm. This is how we managed to cross off our last major stumbling block: drying time. If we couldn't solve this, this whole plan wouldn't work. Drying always took several hours, which is not industrially feasible for us.
We have now managed to get this under control by adjusting formulations, testing at different temperatures, and using different drying techniques to 30-40 minutes. With various combined techniques I am sure we can reduce this even further.
The machine that allows us to make this into a real film roll of several meters long for the first time will go on the plane next week because we cannot wait a few months for the boat. The machine manufacturer also receives our samples so that they can test the next step, the machine for mass production.
Every step will bring a new challenge, but it always feels great when a major bottleneck has been removed.
This is it for this month, we always try to share more on our socials but it has been very busy and hectic lately. More about the machines in the next mailing, we have already filled the first scented beads in bags 🎉
