💪 Natural Deodorant Stick Generation 2
With the first version we focused strongly on a long service life. Under certain circumstances this could cause the stick to move a little stiffly through the holder, or to become completely stuck, making it appear as if the rotation mechanism was broken.
We have now resolved that. The wording has been adjusted slightlysofterso that the deodorant glides smoothly and reliably through the holder again, without compromising on effectiveness or quality.

🏭 Production update
Compressor from small to medium to large.
Production: air pressure & machines
Over the past period we have worked intensively on getting our scented bead machine operational. One factor turned out to be crucial: industrial air pressure.
While we were able to work with smaller compressors in earlier phases (such as with shampoo bars), the scented bead packaging machine and the upcoming machines require significantly higher and more stable air pressure. In practice, this meant that we have grown from a simple setup to a full-fledged industrial air pressure system.
Last week we have a new, powerful onemobilecompressor system. This is now being installed and will enable us to:
• test machines flexibly
• make production lines temporarily operational quickly
• quicker switching during assembly and adjustment
As soon as the production hall is completely ready, we switch to a stationary air pressure system with pipes and tapping points over the entire length of the hall. This allows us to move and expand production lines flexibly, something that is essential, especially because next week11 machinesthat also require a lot of air pressure.
Research & Development: big steps forward
Our R&D process is now running at full speed. Above you can see our research into a detergent tablet. We can now press tablets and conduct research into washing power, solubility and this one is without PVA! The problem we are now facing is solvability. A tablet dissolves less quickly and well because it is compressed. So we have to find a balance between solubility during short washes and strength, because the tablet must not break/crush during transport.
We do our own research, work with suppliers and are supported by experienced industry professionals.
This month we have:
• developed our first own PVA-free powders
• our first PVA-free tablets pressed
• created our first PVA-free biofilm
Not bad for a January 😁 We had already made the first PVA-free comic a few months ago. We continue to investigate alternatives because it does not yet tick everything off our list of requirements.
The coming phase revolves around further testing, refining and fully controlling the different formulations. We have purchased several lab machines for this purpose and are now working towards a semi-production scale for some variants. This is important because during the research process we only look at product feasibility. If we make breakthroughs in this, we look at scalability and production methods.
We have already been able to check off some options because they require machine lines of several hundred meters. This is too drastic and expensive and does not suit usproduction philosophyto be fast and agile.
We do not know which variant it will ultimately be because we have to do much more research into cost price and scalability. We are not dependent on one process, one party, or one project. It is precisely that freedom that allows us to realize real breakthroughs.
For the next step of one of the projects, we are working with a high-tech partner in China, who tests our formulations and adjusts machines to gain insights for an intermediate step to mass volume. If this is successful, we will create something that has never been done in this way before.
Looks like plastic or PVA, but it isn't.

Customer service update
Good news too: we're backfully addedwith our support tickets.
Over the past period (staff shortages, Black Friday, holidays) we have not achieved the service level that we consider important. That was frustrating, for you and for us. The criticism we received was justified.
We are now on our toes again and are once again building towards 5-star customer service.
We read everything, follow everything and continuously work behind the scenes to solve things, even if it sometimes feels different. You are closer to us than you might think.
Although we have never done crowdfunding, this feels like a joint mission to us. With trial and error, but always moving forward.
