Where are Cosmeau products developed and made?

We develop our products ourselves and produce a growing number at our own location in Velsen-Noord. For each product, we show as clearly as possible how and where it is made.

What happens at your site in Velsen-Noord?

We have approximately 2,000 m² of factory and 2,500 m² of warehouse there. Product development, a growing part of our production, storage and part of packaging and shipping come together here.

Do you develop the scents yourselves?

Yes. We develop our unique fragrances ourselves within the EU and choose each raw material according to our own quality standards. There is also a variant without added perfume.

What do you mean by checks at ingredient level?

We not only assess the final scent, but each raw material used separately. We exclude substances that are considered hormone disruptors according to our quality standard. That is an extra quality choice; no medical guarantee.

What do you handle yourselves for warehousing and shipping?

We manage our stock and warehousing in Velsen-Noord. We handle part of packing and shipping ourselves; for the rest of logistics we work with trusted partners in the Netherlands.

How does Cosmeau help to use less plastic?

Where possible, we opt for compact formulas, refillable or recyclable solutions and packaging with as little unnecessary material as possible. We explain the choice we have made for each product.

Can I follow your production and developments?

Gladly even. In our blogs and production updates we share new machines, formulas, tests and improvements behind the scenes. You can also register for our mailings.

💆♀️ Shampoo bars are a great alternative to plastic shampoo bottles. Our shampoo bars are plastic-free, free from SLS, and completely vegan. In addition, the shampoo bars are produced in the Netherlands. All bars are suitable for the CG method.

💦 Whether you have thick, thin, curly, or oily hair, we have a wonderfully scented shampoo bar and matching conditioner for every hair type. All Cosmeau shampoo bars are anti-dandruff and are pH balanced at 5.5, the same as your hair. Our formula provides a less "stiff" feeling.
