How does it work?
Our deep cleaning tablet works thanks to a carefully composed mix of ingredients that each play a specific role. Upon contact with water, sodium percarbonate activates and releases hydrogen peroxide, which helps oxidize organic dirt. At the same time, sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate raise the pH, allowing grease and soap residues to dissolve better. Citric acid helps break down limescale, while surfactants loosen dirt and stains. Additional agents like zeolite and sodium silicate support this process while protecting machine components. This way, both the inside of the washing machine is thoroughly cleaned and prevents residues and limescale from forming again.

Does it work as well as (natural) vinegar and baking soda?
Good question! Even if you use natural vinegar, a washing machine deep cleaning tablet is still the better choice. Here's why:

1. Less effective against limescale: Natural vinegar works against light limescale, but is less powerful than the citric acid and zeolite in a deep cleaning tablet.

2. No protection for the machine: A tablet contains sodium silicate, which protects metal components against corrosion. Vinegar (even natural vinegar) is acidic and can damage rubber seals and metals over time.

3. No deep cleaning: Vinegar doesn't remove grease, detergent residues or bacteria. A tablet contains sodium percarbonate and surfactants that do.

4. No odor neutralization: Vinegar temporarily masks odors, but a tablet neutralizes them thanks to sodium bicarbonate and sodium percarbonate.

5. Convenience and consistency: A tablet is easy to use and contains the right dosage for optimal cleaning, while with vinegar you have to experiment.

I put a dishwasher tablet in the washing machine to deep clean it, is this a better alternative?

1. Specific composition for washing machines: Our tablets contain ingredients that are tailored to dissolving grease, soap residues, limescale and bacteria that specifically occur in washing machines. Dishwasher Tablets are developed for food residues, which requires a completely different composition.

2. Protection of components: Our formula contains sodium silicate that protects machine components against corrosion and wear. Dishwasher Tablets sometimes contain enzymes, bleach or chlorine compounds that can damage rubber and metal parts in washing machines.

3. pH value and function: The pH value of our tablets is optimized for the inside of a washing machine. Dishwasher Tablets are often too aggressive, which can cause damage in the long term.

4. No odor removal: Dishwasher Tablets are not designed to neutralize musty laundry odors. Our tablets are, thanks to sodium bicarbonate and fragrance components among others.
