About the Product

Once upon a time, I had a debate with my girlfriend about putting the wooden cutting board in the dishwasher. You’re really not supposed to, especially if you use chemical dishwasher tablets.
 
But I’m just too lazy to wash it by hand. Same goes for spatulas.
My girlfriend didn’t want a plastic cutting board because of microplastics, and neither of us likes cutting on glass or stone.
 
So here it is: the ultimate cutting board: microplastic-free, dishwasher safe, and cuts like a dream. No more debates. Do you recognize yourself in this? Then this is the board for you. It comes in a beautiful box, perfect as a housewarming gift with a story. You do have to be really good friends, because the set costs €79.95.
 
I get that it’s a lot of money, but the material is just really expensive. The boxes are big and heavy, and the set is fully custom-designed by us. We added rubber feet so the board won’t slide while you’re cutting. On one side, there’s a groove for anyone who works with a lot of juices, and the other side is totally flat for when every centimeter counts. We made the groove as thin as possible and pushed it all the way to the edges, so you’ve got all the space you need.

They come in a set of 3: a small one for quick chopping, a medium for all your regular cutting, and the biggest one for when you’ve got lots to slice or big portions. The largest is designed to fit in a standard dishwasher; that's why we made it wider instead of taller.
 
The material is made from compressed wood. It's pressed so hard that the cutting board isn't porous at all. Nothing soaks in. The material isn't unbreakable, so you might see some cuts with a sharp knife, but nowhere near as bad as with plastic or wood.
You’ll get a stylish holder with it: minimalist, super easy to grab, and dries really fast. You have to agree with me—this is the ultimate cutting board, right?
  
Of course, a spatula goes with the cutting board. Because, yep, we had another debate about this. A wooden spatula can't go in the dishwasher either and... you know the drill.
