It’s time for a production update again 😊
Ben and Jason flew to China last month to inspect our scent pearl machines. Besides business, we were taken to the Kung Fu Temple and climbed a mountain. Very kind and fun of them.
Below is part of the machine with Jason on the left and our guide and translator. The reason for our visit was to monitor assembly, learn how it works, perform checks, and make adjustments to comply with EU regulations for production.
They work incredibly fast. In 6 hours we had the 12-metre machine assembled, tested, connected, and cleaned. This included cutting the belt, shortening, and welding.
This is before the installation of the metal belt. Here you see the part of the pipes used to cool the belt. How it works exactly: After mixing our scent pearl formula in the tank, it drips at high speed onto the moving belt. Because the mix is warm and liquid, it needs to be cooled on the way. The droplets then harden and the final product is the half scent pearl moons you know from us!
We have made several major changes that we encountered during our laundry sheets production. The complete line of 6 machines is now in the container heading to the Netherlands! Hopefully, we can sell the first scent pearls ‘made in Holland’ in Q3/Q4! 😁
For now, I think this is a great update with significant progress. Our promise to start local production with your help and amazing feedback is becoming a reality for the scent pearls as well.
