Last year, we launched our 5th generation Laundry Sheets with powerful enzymes against various stains. This year, we’re taking it further: we have improved the washing power per sheet, addressed the penetrating scent (especially in Spring Fresh) and made the enzyme scent less overpowering.

The sheets are significantly thicker and contain 71% more active ingredients. Double the benefit for washing power.

Additionally, we have reduced the PVA by 57% (among other things by adding more active ingredients) and we are working on a 100% PVA-free variant in our next generation.

Because the sheets are about 37% thicker, they no longer fit in our standard letterbox box for 120 washes. But because there is more washing power per sheet, you need fewer: where you might have used 4 sheets for dirty laundry before, 2-3 are often enough now. Our 2.8 cm high box holds a maximum of 100 washes.

What does it actually do? (independently tested)

We further improved the formula based on customer feedback, focusing on better removal of grass, mud, and food stains. For this, we used independent SGS tests. SGS is a globally leading testing, inspection, and certification company.

Our own testing facilities are (not yet) at the level where we can reliably and consistently guarantee significant differences. SGS conducts washes according to international standards (AISE standard), where textile swatches are stained, washed, and measured under exactly identical conditions.

On some other stains, such as wine, the formula performs slightly less well. But because these are rare stains (1% of respondents), we chose to focus on the stains that do occur frequently. We of course continue to develop — we are already testing an update.

Sweat Sweat is difficult to standardize on textile swatches, so for that we turned to our test panel, i.e., you! Specifically: those with a family that sweats considerably 😅. We are in the middle of the process of testing, collecting feedback, and improving. Thank you for your literally physical effort! 💪

What is a Laundry Sheet?

Laundry Sheets are laundry detergent in convenient paper form: plastic-free*, vegan and mostly biodegradable. No more lifting heavy bottles, no more mess from large packages. Simple, sustainable, and effective.

How does it work?

1. Place the sheet at the bottom of the drum or in the drawer.
2. Place your laundry on top of the sheet, leaving a fist's width of space between the laundry and the top of the drum.
3. Start your wash program.

Dosage:

• 1 strip: for up to 5 kg of normal laundry.
• 2 strips: for up to 10 kg of dirty laundry, hard water, or extra odor.
• 3 strips: for up to 10 kg of very dirty laundry, hard water, or extra odor.

Cost-saving

Calculation basis: Without subscription €24.95 for 100 washes = €0.25 per wash (one-off purchase), where 1 wash = 1 dose. With a subscription and after 3 months with additional discounts, the cost per wash is €0.19.

Frequently asked questions

• Stains? Rub a piece of the strip with water directly onto the stain for extra results.
• Not suitable for wool and silk. Use Cosmeau Wool & Silk for those fabrics.
• Doesn't dissolve completely? Then the strip likely fell to the bottom or there wasn't enough water due to an overloaded drum. Leave a fist-sized space or dose via the drawer. Strips dissolve from 15 °C.
• Little scent? Wash at 30–40 °C and hang to dry. Rub over the laundry after drying for a subtle scent, or add scent pearls for a stronger fragrance.

Ingredients

Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Aqua, Glycerin, Aluminosilicate, Betaine, Alcohols Ethoxylated Corn Starch, Protease, Cellulase, Lipase, Mannanase, Amylase, Cocamide, Fragrance (Parfum), Hexylene Glycol. Allergens: Limonene in all scents except Lavender.

Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) A water-soluble synthetic polymer that serves as a binder and carrier material. It ensures the laundry sheet maintains its solid form and dissolves during the wash cycle. Reduced by 57% in G6. Mostly biodegradable*.

Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate A powerful anionic surfactant that loosens dirt and grease from textile fibers. Ensures effective cleaning and foaming. Derived from fatty acids but synthetically produced. Biodegradable, not harmful to aquatic organisms at low concentrations.

Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate A powerful anionic cleaner that helps remove stubborn dirt. Provides foam and cleaning power, even in cold water. Well biodegradable, with low impact on aquatic life.

Aqua (deionized water) Serves as a solvent in the formulation process. Neutral and without environmental burden.

Glycerin A natural moisturizer that prevents the sheets from drying out and is skin-friendly. Derived from vegetable oils, fully biodegradable.

Aluminosilicate (zeolite) A natural mineral that acts as a water softener and 'builder'. It binds calcium and magnesium ions in hard water through ion exchange — a phosphate-free alternative — so that the laundry active ingredients work better. Inert and environmentally friendly.

Betaine A naturally occurring, plant-derived substance that supports the action of surfactants and is mild on the skin. Well biodegradable.

Alcohols, Ethoxylated A non-ionic surfactant that helps remove fats and oily stains and works well with enzymes. Also works at lower temperatures.

Corn Starch A plant-based starch that serves as a natural filler and structural agent, giving the sheet its shape. Renewable and fully biodegradable.

Protease Enzyme that breaks down protein stains (such as blood, dairy, or egg). Significantly increases washing power. Biodegradable.

Cellulase An enzyme that cares for cellulose fibers by removing small fiber fragments that can cause a dull haze. This keeps colors fresher for longer and makes laundry look newer for longer. Biodegradable.

Lipase Enzyme that breaks down fats and oily stains. Works powerfully, even at low wash temperatures. Biodegradable and mild on the environment.

Mannanase Enzyme that breaks down plant-based stains (such as mud, grass, vegetables). Enzymatically active at low temperatures. Biodegradable.

Amylase
Breaks down starch from stains like pasta, rice, or sauces. Supports deep cleaning. Biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

Cocamide Derived from coconut oil; acts as a foam booster and stabilizer, giving the formula body.

Fragrance (Parfum) Provides a pleasant scent. The exact scent and intensity may vary; the goal is to make laundry smell fresher. Biodegradability varies by scent and component.

Hexylene Glycol A solvent and fragrance fixative that helps distribute active ingredients and perfume. Moderately biodegradable, low ecotoxicity.

Warnings

As with any laundry detergent: keep out of reach of children. Use only with dry hands. Causes eye and skin irritation. If in eyes: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes; remove contact lenses if present and continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: get medical advice. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

* About "plastic-free" and PVA. Depending on the definition, the strips are microplastic-free. PVA is approved by ECHA and is not considered microplastic by them; the PlasticSoup Foundation disagrees. Studies show that PVA is biodegradable, depending on the brand and type. We have certified biodegradability for PVA based on OECD-301B. Our packaging is plastic-free and FSC-certified. We are investigating cellulose-based carriers to avoid this gray area. (Older packaging may still say "plastic-free"; in the latest batch, this has been replaced with "plastic-free packaging".)
