Is shaving with a safety razor better?

Yes. With a safety razor, you’ll experience less skin irritation, razor bumps, and ingrown hairs that often happen with cartridges or electric shavers. The main reason is that with a safety razor, there’s always just one blade touching your skin. It’s actually pretty simple: the fewer times a blade touches your skin, the happier your skin will be.

I thought more blades were always better?

A sharp and clean safety razor will cut the hair in one smooth motion without pulling or dragging. Those so-called lift-and-cut systems aren’t actually that great—they can actually cause more ingrown hairs.

Is a safety razor dangerous?

Of course, it’s still a super sharp object. If you use it incorrectly, you can cut your skin just like with any other razor. Thanks to the rounded half plate on the head, it’s easy to find the right angle (ideally 30°), making it less risky. Do you have sensitive skin? Then this could cause some irritation. How many times can you use the blade of a safety razor?

This depends on your hair type, how often you shave, the coating on the blades, and yes, even your shaving technique. Hardened blades made from, for example, platinum or chromium, make the blades last longer. Our blades are platinum-hardened.

Depending on several factors mentioned above, you can get about 3-6 shaves out of one blade.

Can I shave all body parts with this?

Yes. I do recommend starting with the easier areas like your legs. Once you get more experience, you can move on to other parts of your body.

Can I use the razor in the shower?

Absolutely! Just be careful that the razor doesn't slip out of your hands, even though we've added extra grip to the handle. If it falls, the head could break off.
