Safety Razor Blades

To shave environmentally friendly, it's important that we don't generate no/not too much plastic waste. Yet it's important to provide the right beginner blades so you can master shaving without cutting yourself. This works best by using mild blades that aren't too sharp. This way you have more room to make mistakes, become more confident, and then switch to regular blades later. This package contains 20 regular blades in plastic-free packaging with an excellent price/quality ratio.

Is shaving with a safety razor better?

Yes. With a safety razor you have less trouble with skin irritation, razor bumps, and ingrown hairs that often occur with cartridges or electric razors. The main reason for this is that with a safety razor you always have only one blade against your skin. It's actually quite simple: the less often you make contact with your skin with a blade, the happier it will be.

I thought more blades were always better?

A sharp and clean safety razor will cut the hair in one motion without catching or dragging hairs. The so-called lift-and-cut systems are actually not good at all, as this actually promotes hair ingrowth.

Is a safety razor dangerous?

It remains a razor-sharp object, of course. With incorrect use you can cut your skin just like with any other razor. Due to the rounded half plate on the head, it's easy to find the right angle (optimal is 30°), and thus less dangerous. Do you suffer from overly sensitive skin? Then this can cause skin irritation. How often can you use the blade of a safety razor?

This depends on the type of hair, how often you shave, coating of the blades, and yes also shaving technique. Hardened blades of for example platinum or chromium ensure that the blades last longer. Our blades are platinum hardened.

Depending on various factors as mentioned above, you can do approximately 3-6 shaves with one blade.

Can I shave all body parts with this?

Yes. I do recommend starting with the easier parts like the legs. As you gain more experience you can move on to other body parts.

Can I use the razor in the shower?

Absolutely. Just be careful that the razor doesn't slip from your hands, despite having extra grip lasered onto the handle. In case of a fall, the head can break off.
